Ballring 2012 Programme

Now hosting the Renegade Show for the 4th successive year, Alex is wary that the 4th outing can often be the beginning of the end, so promises that he will do his very best to make this renegade show more "Die Hard 4" and  less "Pirates of the Caribbean 4"... My god what an awful , awful film. Alex cordially invites each and every one of you to come up on stage and show us what you can do, and as such shall be rewarded by sugary goodness or, if over 18 or under 18 with a fake ID, alcohol.

Jon Udry

Jon Udry has been training to perfect his skills in juggling and manipulation for the last decade. Delivering fantastic performances ranging from street entertainment, corporate events, cruise ships, cabarets, festivals and walkabouts. His winning personality, as well as high level of skill, has led him to appear on Radio 1, ITV, CBBC, The National Brit Awards, Le Plus Grande Cabaret Du Monde and even to perform at the world famous Wembley Stadium.

Jon has showcased his talents in fabulous venues all over the world which include: Ireland, Dubai, Slovenia, France, Hungary, Egypt, Italy and Germany, however it was back in his home country that he was the first person to be crowned 'British Young Juggler of the Year' and has since won a number of other awards through juggling. Apart from performing, Jon shares his knowledge of juggling by teaching part-time at The Circus Space in London.

Nunyat Nahom

Nunyat is a 24 year old originating from Ethiopia, who started juggling from a young age. Her  specialities are clubs and bouncing balls, and she has worked with such big names as the Gandinis and Area 51. This will be her second time performing at a Juggling Convention, where she will do an exciting bounce ball routine.

Ian Marchant

Ian Marchant's comic vaudeville style and skills will entertain and amaze you to the fullest... Expect tricks with crockery, newspaper, trays, rings, many things and plenty of audience participation!

Frederike Gerstner

Frederike graduated from the Circus Space in 2006. Since then she has created two of her own shows in Jacksons Lane Theatre in London and spends most of her time... Juggling. Usually travelling around performing for Feeding the Fish or Gandinis, she will be showing a newly developed club juggling solo in the Ballring show.

Mats C

Mats, 22, now living in 'A fine city' in the UK has spent the winter months hibernating from the unusually warm winter and working on 3 balls. Inspired by jugglers such as Murakami and Jon Peat (although still nowhere near as good as them) he brings us a routine with the best 3 ball stuff he has got.

Purple Dragon Entertainments

Purple Dragon Entertainments was started by Ricko and Amz, who both worked in different areas of entertainment. They met at the age of 13 doing a charity show for a local family centre, and over the years became good friends. In 2008 they began Purple Dragon, and have since had many adventures working in various countries such as Cyprus, Turkey and Qatar.

Charlie Ledger

Charlie is the founder of Seduced By Circus. Her inspiration came from her background and training in the sports, leisure and fitness industry combined with her love for circus. Charlie specialises in hula hoop, but has also trained in a variety of disciplines. She completed an internship at Swamp Circus Trust, and the full time Circus in Performance Course at Greentop Circus. Whilst running her hula hoop and circus business she has completed various fitness and teaching qualifications, and is now studying engineering at Sheffield Hallam Uni (where she is also president of the circus skills society). She intends to use the knowledge gained in her degree to develop new products for the circus and fitness industries. Over the last few years Charlie has travelled around the UK and parts of Europe teaching and performing at various festivals, parties, corporate events, cabarets, juggling conventions and has even appeared on TV a few times! She is an associate lecturer part time at Sheffield Hallam, where she teaches hula hoop and circus skills. Charlie is also learning German and regularly goes over to Germany to teach and perform.
